I see someone was snivvling that peeps posted Grace Potter a number of times. Well how about the other bands' that ARE NOT Grace Potter, that other's have posted. There are multiple postings of alot of bands and people have their favorites so save your whining for the cheese platter that comes with those steak knives.
LAMONT CRANSTON is one of the BEST blues bands in the WORLD. Ask their very good buddy Bonnie Raitt or their contemporaries like Kim Wilson, Charlie Watts, Tab Benoit or Dan Ackroyd (who specifically wanted them to open THE FIRST HOUSE OF BLUES). These guys ARE THE BLUES and will rock the mountains of Telluride right down to the epicenter of the earth's plimsoul. Who know's, maybe Ackroyd, Jimmy Belushi and Bill Murray (all buddies of these guys) will show up for an impromptu "session" of sorts. Blues expert Bob Corritorre loves these guys. Enough of the name dropping. Just book these guys. They are a most humble and hard working band who will be an asset to this festival. It shocks me that few have heard of them but then again, that's what's great about music, especially the blues...there is someone or some band you haven't heard yet and isn't that what keeps us fans going!!?? Go to myspace, their own website or any search engine and read the comments for yourself. It is a cryin' shame that they haven't been booked yet. LAMONT CRANSTON...BOOK THIS BAND!!!!! I know that the production team of The Telluride Blues and Brews Festival is a very hard working bunch of people. They are probably swamped with suggestions and demo tapes of many bands. Please give LAMONT CRANSTON a spot in your show. I will flat guarantee the fans who hear them will be screaming for more when they leave the stage. LAMONT CRANSTON is the hidden gem in the blues genre and those fans who have not heard them, will be blown away, I promise...and the shadow knows |

Kal David would be a monster addition. Was a founder of Illinois Speed Press and main man for Mayall's Blues Breakers for 15 or so years and that man can wail. |
